Rusty Pilot Returns
Asked by: TomC 1939 views FAA Regulations, General Aviation, Light Sport Aircraft, Private Pilot
Please consider this scenario,
A private pilot has not flown for many years and wishes to return to GA. He obtains a third class medical and approaches an instructor for recurrent training in a light sport aircraft.
The instructor is a CFI/ASEL but now gives instruction in light sport only and has only a state issued driver’s license for medical qualification. The instructor eventually grants a satisfactory flight review in a light sport airplane.
What limitations, if any, are placed upon the private pilot’s privileges and if so, what procedure must be followed to regain full private privileges?
