Are you asking if this “N rated CFI” has a FAA flight instructor certificate?

If you are Brazilian and are flying that “N” registered airplane IN Brazil you don’t need a FAA certificated flight instructor. That is what the rules are here. Your rules may be different and may very well require a flight instructor with FAA certificates.

I am an american who lives in brazil and earned about 30 hours of airtime in the uninted states, I earned my solo endorsement in 88 and recently went back to renew my student and medical certificate and did refresh training, however I can only utilize those hours here if I have a licence other than student hours I need atleast a solo endoresment or a pp from what they are telling me here so that i dont need to start from scratch all over again. So I was hoping to find someone inside brasil who could help me, I beleive I will need a FAA certified CFI to get mu N rated licence and then I can just do a check ride in brazil to get certified here without starting all over.
