Am I required to carry paper charts, and approach plates if i have a current foreflight app on an Ipad?

    According to AC 91-78, part 91 operators do not need to carry paper charts and plates, and may use an EFB provided it is current and contains equivalent information. In addition, part 121 and part 135 operators have begun replacing paper plates and charts with EFBs.
