IPC

Asked by: 1243 views Instrument Rating

Hi everyone,

I just recently did my IPC and did only 4 approaches. How am I current if I did not do 6 approaches then in the last 6 months? Do I need to do 2 more by myself with a safety Pilot?

The requirements for an IPC are in the instrument ACS. In terms of approaches, it’s 3. Successful completion resets the clock.

Okay so I am current then for 6 months. And then after the 6 months I cannot fly in IMC unless I log 6 approaches correct?

After you lose currency you are not permitted to fly IMC or under IFR even if the weather is CAVU.
