IFR Flight : Controller Says Expect The Visual Approach – Can I Request a Published Approach?
Asked by: TCarmo 1036 views Airspace, Instrument Rating
When on an IFR flight plan in good (VFR) weather into an unfamiliar (towered) airport with the ATIS and/or controller advertising a visual approach to a north runway (ie RWY 32) and approaching from the north, can my request for a full, published approach (ie RNAV (GPS) RWY 32) be denied?
