Does PDPIC require an instructor signature?

Asked by: 1420 views , ,

I know PDPIC is not duel given, but does it require a logbook entry signature from the "authorized instructor onboard"? Is it the same as 61.51(e)(1)(iv)(D)?

Since it’s not dual, it does s not.

61.51(e)(1)(iv) is a special situation involving “The pilot performing the duties of pilot in command is undergoing an approved pilot in command training program that includes ground and flight training on the following areas of operation…” not the general PDPIC for the commercial.

… it refers to an airline training program.

The instructor puts something like “PDPIC/61.129” in the remarks and signs. Being sure NOT to put anything in the dual (not duel) column.

This is the documentation you completed the flight with an authorized instructor.

The instructor logs it as dual given. There is an FAA Interpretation on this.

Note – if you use PDPIC for any of the ten hours in that part of 61.129 then all of them must be the same.
