Tower closed at Class D

Hi,

I have an airport Class D KMGE (military). According to the Chart Supplements tower operates from 7AM to 11PM. Other time it is class G.

On Saturdays and  Sundays Tower operates till 4PM as NOTAM states. Does it mean the airspace become class G after 4PM as well? No info about an airspace status in NOTAMS when tower is closed.

 Thanks,

Without an operating tower, the airspace reverts to class G.

Without an operating tower the Chart Supplement says Class G. That’s your answer. The reason it’s closed doesn’t matter.

It reverts to either Class E or Class G. The chart supplement (former A/FD green book) will tell you in the Airspace section.
