I was flying as a safety pilot for a friend that wanted to practice instrument approaches. We’re both CFI’s and are both about to take the CFII checkride. She had a little bit of trouble on a couple approaches, so I was giving her some advise as she was flying and she said that she’d like me to sign her logbook. I can’t tell if I’m legally allowed to do that since I’m not a CFII. Do you have to be a CFII to teach another CFII? I’m also not signing her off for the checkride.
