Foreign Student

Asked by: 1498 views Flight Instructor

I starting with a student today who is not a US citizen. She already got clearance from the TSA to begin training. Is there anything else that needs to be done by me before we begin? I know that I have to take a picture of her and then send it to the TSA and I have to verify that she did get clearance from them.

You need to comply with 49 CFR 1552.3(h) and issue endorsement A14 from AC61-65H. Keep the records for 5 years (unless the flight school does that part for you–just make sure you keep them.

    It’s all in the FAR/AIM and AC61-65.
