Transferred 141 to another 141 (commercial)

Asked by: 1231 views Commercial Pilot

I transferred from a part 141 university program to another 141 university program. At the first school all I did was take their private pilot ground course, which I got an endorsement for the written test. I transferred after that to another 141 university. Didn’t log a single flight hour until I was at the new school, so all my flight training is with the same 141 school (the one I transferred to). What I’m wondering is, do I still meet the 141 requirements for a commercial rating? The whole 50% of time rule wouldn’t apply since I had no prior flight training at the first 141 school correct?

What I would do: At the current 141 school your training at, speak directly with the Chief flight Instructor and get a solid answer. They will be able to answer that better than I can.

Also, read in your syllabus if there is anything saying the commercial requirement requires you to take a private ground school… I would think your fine.
