    Not sure I understand the question. I am sure I don’t know the acronym AWO.

    Having said that, in the USA, Part 135 air carrier helicopter pilots are required to perform autorotations during the 135.293 competency check if using a single engine helicopter.

    Operators are required to train autorotations in single engine helicopters, because it is tested.

    Within the last year or so, the FAA began addressing training autorotations in multi-engine helicopters, but they are not tested.

    thank you captain for answering my question I referred to part 135,293 couldn’t find the paragraph you talking about if possible give me guidance to find this I will be appreciated

    135.293 contains language requiring the check.

    Order 8900.1 Volume 3, Chapter 19, Section 7, Paragraph 3-1283 Table 3-71 contains the maneuvers that must be performed.
