Biannual flight review

Asked by: 1777 views Commercial Pilot, FAA Regulations, General Aviation, Instrument Rating

Hello!

Got a question, I've got CPL,IR, SE, ME (complex aircraft).

Can I fly only single engine to act as a PIC for multiengine? Or it should be both?

“a flight review given in an aircraft for which that pilot is rated.” FAR 61.56.

If you are rated in singles, multis, gliders and balloonS, choose whichever one you want for your flight review.

Small point, but is it is a flight review, commonly called a BFR. The B stands for biennial, which is once every two years as opposed to biannual, which is two times every year.

There have been proposals to make the flight review class specific, but that has never made its way all the way into a regulation.
