What effect does the temperature decrease have on pressure altitude?

What effect does the temperature decrease have on density altitude?
Higher temperature means higher density altitude. Lower temperature means lower density altitude.

Galandi, a good place to go for an answer is AC 00-6B Aviation Weather, Section 4 of Chapter 5, Altimetry.
