CFI Added rating

Flight Instructor

Hi everyone,

I try to add an Instrument Rating to my CFI.

I got confused while I was scheduling my knowledge test, should I select Flight Instructor Instrument Airplane (FII) or Flight Instructor Instrument Airplane (Added Rating).

What is the difference?

Thanks,

You would take the Flight Instructor Instrument Airplane test unless you already hold a Flight Instructor Instrument Helicopter rating. The added rating test is a 20 question test that focuses on the difference between the helicopter and airplane rating.
