Do we have to follow SID procedure if the airport has SID??

or VFR aircraft must follow SID when departing?

    A SID, a “Standard Instrument Departure,” is an instrument flight procedure. It is a written and charted version of the first part of an IFR clearance. And like any other IFR clearance, it is not flown unless it is assigned.
