Can i find a FAA instructor to do IPC in canada ?

Asked by: 2136 views , ,
FAA Regulations, Flight Instructor, Instrument Rating

I am converting my FAA CPL (IR) to Canadian one in Vancouver B.C. I didn’t fly instrument for more than 2 years and the Canadian regulations require me to do an FAA IPC in the last 24 months to be able to convert my IR. I cannot go to the USA without applying for a visa which is gonna be complicated for me and would require a lot of paperwork plus a lot of time. So if I can find an FAA certified CFII that solves my dilemma. Does anyone know a CFII who is currently in Vancouver or in B.C. in general ?

Why don’t you try one of the many flight training operations and clubs in the area? That close to the boarder, I wouldn’t be at all surprised to find dual-certificated CFIs or someone who knows someone,

    HI atef,

I hope everything went smoothly for you. I am in the same position looking for a CFII in Canada. Were you able to eventually locate one?

    Cheers,
