Biennial review outside the U.S.

Flight Instructor

Good day. I hold a CPL ME IR issued by the FAA in 2008. Havent flown since and have close to 300 hrs TT. I am now based in Mozambique and have an opportunity to pursue my dreams of flying but need to convert my licence to the MZ one to continue. I need to be current to start the conversion process. I have to either get to the U.S. to get a flight review or  a F.A.A.  certified CFII in Mozambique / neighbouring country could conduct the review which would save me time and money.

Am therefore requesting any CFII in the region who is willing to help me to give me  a buzz via Whatsapp  +258 840441273 or mail me at georgemalcolm13@gmail.com

Thnx in advance.

George

You do not need a CFII (Flight Instructor with Instrument Rating). You only need a CFI to get you current for flight review (BFR) purposes. However, if you also need an Instrument Proficiency Check, then you will indeed need a CFII.

Thnx KDS. You are right , I could start the process with a CFI for a FR although getting the IPC done would be ideal..

Just a thought. You might try contacting AOPA and asking that question.

You might also check the two CFI organizations in the US, NAFI and SAFE. I don’t know if they maintain that kind of data, but, if they don’t, they might have some suggestions.
