Theoretical Exam Validity

Asked by: 1808 views , ,
Commercial Pilot

I hold a FAA  Multi Engine  CPL/IR. I passed the written and the Flight Test for these  back in 2005. I do not hold a Single Engine CPL but now wish to obtain a SE endorsement on my CPL Licence. My question is simple - Do I have to take and pass the CPL written exam again before I take a Flight Test for the SE CPL because any Flight Test must be matched with a TK exam pass within 24 months ?

You are seeking an additional class rating. This is discussed in 61.63(c). There is no requirement to take another knowledge test.
