You would need to hold an instrument-airplane rating on an AMEL certificate and meet the experience requirements. Then, unless you already held a type rating in another turbojet (or met certain turbojet experience requirements), you would need to take part of the test in actual aircraft.

Like many things in life, with enough money, it’s possible even if highly impractical.

    Thank you.
So it means I can`t directly apply for TR A320 from PPL ASEL? I should get IR then AMEL. And I can get TR. Right?
    No need to get CPL?

I’m just curious what the plan is for a PPL A320 type rating…. $75,000 hamburgers? Honestly from what I understand the expense and effort is considerable – by the time you get there, you’d have way more than enough to knock out the CPL (which is really no harder than your PPL).

What is the thinking here and maybe we can have more context for the question. Interesting idea!

    Let`s assume I have my own A320.

We answered this question for you in January, in a thread titled “Combine pactical (sic) test”.

The answer has not changed since then.

In that thread, you said your end goal was an ATP with an A320 type rating and that you already hold that license in two different countries.
