Working At Boeing During Flight Training?

Asked by: 1697 views Commercial Pilot, General Aviation, Instrument Rating, Private Pilot, Student Pilot

I'm sorry if this isn't a question that should be on this website but I'll ask anyway.. I'm a veteran pursuing flight training that is realizing that the benefits from the VA don't really give me enough to get by comfortably for the next year or so. I'm considering applying to work at Boeing testing and troubleshooting the various aircraft as I kind of did while in the military. Do you think it's feasible to work this full time job and still progress to being a commercial pilot? I'll (hopefully) pass my checkride and get my PPL within the next two weeks.

I’m not sure what Boeing has to do with it, it sounds like you’re just asking if it’s feasible to have a full-time job and do your flight training after work and on weekends. To which the answer is an obvious “yes”, lots of people do it this way. Including me – every single one of my ratings has been while having a full-time job.

    Go for it!
