Each knowledge test is good for 2 years (24 months). You had that time period to complete your ATP certificate. Since the written test has expired, you get to start over again, and since the rules have changed, you get to take an ATP/CPT course.
    Congratulations,
    Sorry,
    Mitch

PS, we scurried and scammed, and traveled long distances to complete ATP checkrides before the expiration date. All the DPEs were fully booked and we flew to the next state to complete checkrides.

I didn’t search for the details, but there are some exceptions if you were military and deployed. If that is the case, look for those exceptions.

Also (and again I’m working without a net here) there used to be an exception if you were currently employed by a Part 121 carrier. Like the military exception, if that happens to be the case, you should look into that further to see if it still applies.

    Question for Mitch Williams.

I’m just asking this to make myself feel bad ………. what were the DPE’s charging for that check? I assume these were for the ATP certificate in a non type rated airplane.
