I currently have a commercial, AMEL, instrument card.  What would a SEL checkride consist of?

    The best listing of what will be on the checkride would be to download the current Commercial ACS from the FAA. Towards the end are the Additional Rating Task tables. The tasks required are listed. As I recall, there are some preflight items covered, the takeoffs and landings, including the power off 180, also the examiners choice of some of the performance maneuvers. The stalls are not required.

    Look at the Additional Rating Table on Page A-12. The column under AMEL is what the examiner is REQUIRED to test. At the discretion of the examiner, they can test any other ASEL task in the ACS, however, I can’t remember an instance of an examiner ever doing that.
