DME or RADAR REQUIRED – can GPS substitute? Where is this stated?

Can the use of a TAA override the requirement for "DME or RADAR REQUIRED"  on some approaches. I am using a 430W driving a G500 glass cockpit system. We have no DME in the airplane, and GPS only gives distances "T0" not "FROM." However, in pulling up any approach on the 430W, all of the waypoints are defined in space, and if necessary to determine a "FROM" distance in lieu of DME, a little subtraction works.

I cannot find anywhere that says I can fly a "DME or RADAR REQUIRED" approach using glass instead of DME.
