Hot Start

Asked by: 2614 views , ,

Just a question I can't seem to find an answer on. I have a ton of trouble trying to hot start a fuel injected IO-470 the different techniques I try seem to work one day and then fail the next. I understand that the fuel is vaporizing and that is causing the issue but why is this only an issue on airplane engines? Like in my Subaru or any other car for that matter there is no issue with hot starting. Why are the airplane engines any different?

Thanks
