Medical

FAA Regulations, Flight Instructor

This is a poll. How does everyone carry their medicals in the plane? I tape it in my logbook that I carry with me. Does anyone laminate theirs? I was thinking of folding it and carrying it in my wallet. Does anyone not bother carry it on local flights? Also for the older guys did you carry your paper certificate with you? Cheerio

I have always carried my medical folded in my wallet. Never saw a reason to put in anywhere else. I think I laminated it once about 20 years ago but thought it was silly and unnecessary. Same for my certificate when they were still paper,

Question: why would you want to get ramp checked and not have your medical with you on a local flight?

I guess I just don’t want to carry around a fragile piece of paper when I could have it safe in my hanger. Like when the door does’t seal and I get soaked. I guess my problem is wondering why they can’t give us something a little less temporary.
