Hello,
I am happy to see this site while surfing for my answer on the internet.. I am a student in Flight Instructor course. We are flying with Cessna T182 , my instructor asked me a question that I am completely confused and desperate to find its answer.
As an emergency procedure of Cessna 182 , in case of the emergency of engine failure after take off it is written in the checklist that
- Pilot and passenger seat backs.. Most upright position
- seat and seat belts.. Secure
- airspeed.. 70 kias
- mixture control.. Idle cutof
- fuel shutoff valve.. Off
- magnetos.. Off
- wing flaps.. As required
- stby batt switch.. Off
- master switch(alt and bat).. Off
the question is : why we turn off the standby battery before turning off the master switch? is there an intention for this ?
