Private pilot written part 141

Asked by: 3231 views FAA Regulations, Private Pilot, Student Pilot

I am training under part 141 and studied like hell and somehow only managed to score a 78. I was very disappointed and reviewed what I got wrong but never retook it. A fellow student recently told me you have to get at least an 80 on the written to stay 141. Is that true? Had I known I woulda retaken it.

According to FAA-G-8082-17 The minimum passing score is 70 percent. You\’re just fine. Some folks will tell you that the lower the test score the more detailed the examiner might be on the oral portion of the test – but I doubt there is reliable evidence to support that.
