Complex night landings

Asked by: 2689 views FAA Regulations, Private Pilot

Just finished up my complex endorsement training (Arrow II) and am confused on the night landing currency requirements.  For purposes of my 3 night within 90 days landings requirement do I need to perform 3 EACH in the C172SP and PA 28R-200 or just 3 in either aircraft.

The currency requirements are for category, class, and type (if a type rating is required). Both aircraft are in the same category (airplane) and same class (single engine land). If you were to do 3 takeoffs and landings in either or in any combination of the two, they would qualify. Complex is irrelevant.
