Single engine ATP

Asked by: 3811 views FAA Regulations

How does the FAA view the single engine ATP as to the fact that I am currently a commercial/instrument rated MEL/SEL... Do I lose the MEL rating?

The only time the FAA takes anything away, is if you are found not to be qualified to hold the rating through the 44709 reexamination process, or through the legal enforcement process (say, for example, if you falsify a logbook or application).

    Your certificate would read:

    Airline Transport Pilot
    – Airplane Single Engine Land
    Commercial Privileges
    – Airplane Multiengine Land

You do “lose” the instrument rating, but not really, it’s included in the ATP.
