CFI Part 61 v Part 141

I've had some conflicting information from several CFIs. They're relevantly junior guys with <2yrs experience. If I obtain a CFI initial under Part 61, does that mean I can only instructor students under Part 61?  What I'm really concerned with is, if I obtain my CFI under Part 61, will that preclude me from applying for jobs at Part 141 schools? And vice versa.

FAR 61.193 which describes flight instructor privileges does not mention part 61 or 141. Nor is there any indication on the flight instructor certificate that the instructor is part 61 or 141. So the answer is no.

Also if it helps, I currently am instructing for a part 141 school having gotten my CFI ticket from a part 61. So it’s definitely done. The only thing I wish someone had told me was it’s a good idea to get your CFI with the flight school you want to work at first. It’s a big risk to hire an untested CFI so most schools only hire from their own students.

I have instructed under 61 and 141, at the same time and even at the same flight school. IOW you can be instructing at a 141 school and do 61 at the same school, different airport/flight school or outside of the 141 school (free lance). No restrictions.
