Hot to cold – Look out below

I clearly understood the "High to low - look out below" part. The "Hot to cold- look out below" part confuses me. Isn't a hot temperature associated with being less dense, hence less pressure and a cold temperature with denser air, more pressure? So wouldn't I be climbing instead of looking out below?
