How do you know if the airplane is equipped with Baro-Vnav?

According to FAR/AIM, requirement for VNAV/LNAV approach is either the airplane is equipped with WAAS or Baro V-nav.
1.how do you know if the airplane is equipped with Baro-Vnav?
2. What about WAAS? ( is it in GPS manual? or FMS?)
