CFI gold seal

Asked by: 4710 views FAA Regulations, Flight Instructor

Hey all, Once I receive a CFI gold seal certificate, does the gold seal automatically rolls over to the next certificate when it's renewed at the end of 24 months? or is it taken away unless the requirements for the gold seal are met again (8 passes our of 10, etc.)? Thanks.

Although I have heard stories (so who knows if they are accurate) of it being left off the renewal and once it’s gone it’s gone. So always check the temporary they give you, and I try to work it into the conversation with the inspector while we’re going over the paperwork.
