Time to upload the new license to FAA System (Internet)

Asked by: 4185 views Commercial Pilot

Hi there!

I have a new cuestion to all smart people here.

Few weeks ago I complete my ATP Check Ride, and I would like to know, under your experience, how long does it take to upload that information to FAA web page. I mean, if I search for an airman certificate (mine, of course) to appear it on the site.

Thanks all.

It all depends on whether or not you used IACRA or not. IACRA applications will typically be processed within two weeks after the practical test. I think I got my new license with 14 days.

The paper 8710 route takes substantially longer… 60 to 90 days or so.

As of this date 8 April 2013, the FAA was processing paper applications from March 10th.

Yes, I did the 8710 form. What is IACRA application? It´s new for me.

The flight school told me that they send my file on April 3rd, so I may wait as long as June to got my ATP 🙁

The important thing is that all is in process. Thanks for your information Wes Beard, and I will follow your blog, for sure!

IACRA is the web based 8710 application. Most examiners are using it now and some are required to use it. I’m a little surprised you filled out a paper 8710.

Well, we file the form in the computer, we printed and then he said he will send my file to San Juan FSDO then they will send it to Oklahoma. On monday I will call to San Juan to ask about my file. I took the ATP Check on February 20th and I have no info about the status of it.

Wes, how did you know the date of papers that FAA is processing?
