How do you line up with the runway center-line and execute a perfect landing during a visual approach? What do you use as a reference?

The very same things I used before I ever had an instrument rating. I don’t recall ever missing the runway, even as a student pilot.

If the airport is unfamiliar, I do the same thing the airline pros do — tune in the localizer (or load the GPS approach with vectors to final) for the landing rnway.
