Can I legally use an iPad to replace paper products like aeronautical charts, afd, approach plates, etc in part 61 operations?

    Cherie,

I assume you meant to write part 91 operations instead of 61. Use of an IPad in lieu of paper charts is very acceptable. You should consider what your backup plan would be if the IPad failed for any reason and make sure it has a good charge before your flight.
