FAA Regulations

Hi everyone, got another ATP written question.

I currently work for a small 135 carrier.  As such, I am familiar with the 135 regulations.  However, I would like to move on and work for a 121 carrier.  Many of these airlines require the ATP written to be completed before one is hired.

In this case, should I take the 135 test since I am familiar with the 135 regulations, or should I take the 121 test?  Do 121 airlines even care if you take a 135 test?

Thanks

Check with the 121 carriers you might want to pursue.  See if they want the 121 written.

Otherwise, it doesn’t matter.  Go with the info you know.

Most carriers will want the 121 ATP written, but if you are going to take the ATP practical test before you move to them it really does not matter at all.
