ALL,

I am a 50 hour private pilot, coming up on 3 months since my checkride.  My question is if i Log 3 T/O's and Landings in a C172 am I okay to carry passengers in a C150 or do i also need to log 3 Landings in the 150?

Currency for operating as pic while carrying passengers is not type specific unless a type rating is required. In your example only category and class apply so landings in a 172 would count toward meeting the rule for a 150.  This may not mean you would be considered current under a renter agreement or insurance requirements though.

Just FYI: Make sure if you’re carrying passengers at night the take offs and landings need to be done at night and to a full stop. And if it’s a tailwheel airplane, they have to be to a full stop as well. What you stated you would be “current” for carrying passengers in the day. Safe Flying!
