Pilot License Privileges

Hello:

I have an ATP license on Multi Engine Land, and Commercial on Single Engine Land.

My question is if you no longer Operate ATP or Commercial, your are flying your own single engine airplane Part 91, then you are using your private license privileges right?
to operate you only need a Third Class medical correct?

    Assuming you have a single engine land Commercial certificate and can use private pilot privileges to fly a single engine land aircraft. You have two options, you can have any class of medical including a third class medical or you can have Basic Med to operate most single engine piston aircraft under part 91.

    Aircraft that qualify to use the Basic Med include those at or below 6000 pounds, no more than 6 seats, below at and below 18000 and at or below 250 Kts IAS. Basic Med requires you to have held any class of medical within the prior 10 years, take an online course every 2 years, and visit a doctor every 4 years who has to review a check list of medical conditions and certify your medical condition.     Thanks for the response. What about ICAO regulations, for example i had a situation here in Mexico saying that i need First or Second Class because i have ATP. For what i know that is require if you are flying for compensation or hire , not while flying private use airplane.

    Don’t assume requirements in a foreign country are exactly the same as in the US.
