Did you used LAAS before?

Asked by: 1241 views Instrument Rating

LAAS is used for accurate signal, and it needs special ground station and equipment in cockpit.

Did you use is ever before? I never seen it in practice. I feel like it is a legacy technology like NDB or ADF.

So if you know some approach charts or experiences, please share me.

LAAS is only used by some air carrier aircraft. Two airports in the US have these type of approaches. They are GLS type and can be found at KIAH and KEWR. They are not intended for general aviation and most air carrier aircraft are not equipped.
