Missing navigation fix in GPS Departure Procedure

Departing from KIND or KHFY

DAWNN1 departure route.

The first fix in the Garmin GTN 750 is DAWNN. (direct DAWNN)

On the chart there is SNEVA, FOYTT, then DAWNN....

Is this a database error? I have the Nov 7 database.

    I’m not sure why SNEVA and FOYTT are charted, but if you look at the textual description of the departure procedure on page 2, you will see that they are not part of the route. All routings off all runways basically get down to “radar vectors to DAWNN” in some form.

    Since it’s not part of the route, it doesn’t get coded into the database.

    Perhaps these fixes were charted at ATC request to provide for alternate routings.

    Thank you for your answer. On page 2 RADAR vectors to join VHP R-174 to DAWNN.
    GPS database sends me direct to DAWNN and trough the restricted area.

    I still think there is a database error. Do you concur?

    SNEVA, FOYTT, and DAWNN lie on the VHP 174 radial. You can select databases for your GTN750 from two vendors, either Jeppesen or Garmin.Jeppesen data includes the fixes SNEVA, FOYTT, and DAWNN and they lie along the VHP 174 radial. Garmin only includes DAWNN and depicts a TF leg between the airport and DAWNN. Of the two database representations, the Jeppesen one would be more useful, particularly if you were told to intercept the VHP 174 radial to DAWNN. To select the SID on the GTN750, you have to choose one of the two transitions, so if you were routed to DAWNN in your clearance without specifying a transition, you would have to edit the SID route after entering one of the transitions.
