135 IFR take-off minimums for a twin engine aircraft
Asked by: Charles22 2614 views FAA Regulations
Following is my understanding of Part 135 IFR take-off minimums for a twin engine aircraft:
1 SM visibility or an RVR of 5,000 ft, unless the pilot was assigned and accepted a SID (in this case the minimums of the SID apply) or the runway has non standard take-off minimums
To take off IFR from an airport where the current weather is below the landing minimums, but meets the takeoff minimums, the pilot must declare a takeoff alternate within 1 hour of normal flying time, with weather suitable for landing at the scheduled arrival time.
I would appreciate comments, corrections, additions.
Thanks
