Thank you for reading! I am wondering if about 30 of my dual received simulator hours would count for the requirements of the R-ATP. The reg says..
"Not more than 100 hours of the total aeronautical experience requirements of paragraph (a) of this section or §61.160 may be obtained in a full flight simulator or flight training device provided the device represents an airplane and the aeronautical experience was accomplished as part of an approved training course in parts 121, 135, 141, or 142 of this chapter."
I am mainly wondering about the word "approved" and what that means in the paragraph. I completed these 30 dual received sim hours during a collegiate instrument rating course at a part 141 flight school, that was NOT approved for the R-ATP 1,000 hour redemption. Although I transferred soon after an received my IR at an approved school, I am wondering if those dual received hours can count for the ATP?
Thank you for your help! I will be happy to clarify if needed :)
