Imagine you are getting radar vectors to final on an ILS approach. A bit rushed, ATC slam-dunks you in with a last minute turn and decent to intercept. At this point if the auto pilot (Avidyne DFC90) continues working it's no problem. But for some reason if the autopilot disconnects and the FD is on the glide slope indicator will vanish. The flight director points to targeted altitude and not glide slope. This isn't a problem if the autopilot is off the entire time. I'm not sure what screens are installed but it's full glass, non-touchscreen. Any thoughts?
