Help on validity discontinue checkride

Asked by: 3261 views , ,
FAA Regulations, Flight Instructor

Let's say that the 1/1/2016 i did my checkride and i discontinued at the task 2. Since task 1 was completed, i have 60 days to finish my checkride otherwise i have to do again the task 1 + the remaining task

For instance, i do my checkride again the 2/1/2016 and since i did the month before task 1. i have to do the remaining tasks.

But here is the problem: on date 2/1/2016, the checkride was discontinued again after task 2.

I would like to know ( if is possible a source as well) if the Task 1 had a valid period of 60 days, since i discontinued again would that jump to 90 days total? 30 before and 60 after?

I don't know if is it clear, in case i can explain again.

Thank you

If your first checkride was discontinued after the task 1 and then the next checkride was discontinued during the first task of that checkride (ie, task 2), I would not be so quick to take another checkride until I figured out with your instructor what went wrong during your training. There are obviously some serious deficiencies. In regard to your question however, its 60 days from the initial checkride that that/those tasks performed on the first checkride will “expire” The entire checkride must be completed within the initial 60 day period.
