I fly a 550 and a CJ2 single pilot. Almost all turbojets require 2 pilots with a few exceptions. The legacy citations 501 and 551 can be flown SP as can the entire CJ line (all certified part 23). The eclipse and the phenom 100 and the premier are all also SP. for aircraft that are certified SP out of the gate, all that is require is a type rating which can be gotten with a private/multi and instrument rating (for flight above FL180). So theoretically you can take a low time private pilot with ME/instrument and if they can pass the type checkride can fly SP (although doubtful the insurance will allow it) but there is no reg requiring a certain amount of time.

For the Legacy Citations that are certified part 25, such as the 500/550/560, these can be flown SP with an SP exemption. The exemption must be renewed every 12 months and requires a checkride just like the type checkride. There are 5 or 6 exemptions out there (cessna, shannon, vue, front range, etc) TO MY knowledge, the exemptions all require a commercial or atp certificate and 1000 hrs of turbine time (in addition to the type rating) as well as some other requirements depending on the exemption.

I think I covered all the jets which can be flown SP. if I missed one, feel free to chime in.

Flying a jet SP is not for the faint of heart. Requires excellent instrument skills and the ability to multi task. When stuff goes wrong in jet, things can go downhill very fast. The exemption aline cost me between 7-10K a year depending on whose exemption Im flying under. That is in addition to my yearly 61.58 checkrides. So it aint cheap either…..
