Intercepting radials IN and OUT the VOR

Hello, Just heard confusing tricky question regarding VOR interception. the question was if we have for example runway 30 ( 301°) and they told us to intercept R-120 OF the VOR which is on the other side  shall we fly on the runway heading to fly R-120  or initiate right turn to intercept R-120 . ? I remember when we're doing the MCC course , when the instructor's tell us fly on specific radials we add 180° to proceed to the station. and also during IR training . In fact that's question make me a little confused, and I wish to have the right answer. Regards

    This question is incomplete. Where is the VOR located with respect to the airport and runway and is the pilot being asked to intercept and track the radial going inbound to the VOR or outbound.

    The VOR is located on the centre line of the runway , and I wish to know if we are flying out and IN of the VOR in both cases using runway 30 and the vor is in the back to intercept R-120

    I’m sorry but your clarification makes no sense to me. I can’t tell where you are (location and altitude with respect to the VOR and the runway).

    For example, here’s one sceario:
    I am on the VOR Runway 30 approach. The VOR is on the airport. My missed approach instructions are to turn left to intercept the R120 outbound.

    In that case, so long as I was at least 400 AGL (I would be on a VOR approach!), I would turn left on a heading to intercept the 120° radial outbound.

    Is that what you are trying to ask?
