Logging instrument approaches for currency/training

Asked by: 3314 views FAA Regulations, General Aviation, Instrument Rating

The FAA has just published an InFO clarifying the conditions under which pilots may log an instrument approach for currency or training/testing.   http://tinyurl.com/oe4a74a The big thing is that that allow logging an approach in actual without needing to be in IMC until DH/MDA.  They state that if you break out after the FAF and prior to MAP, you can log it. Finally, a little common sense.
