Cessna 182 pilots, jumper or glider experience

Just wanted to get the opinion of anyone who might have a lot of experience in the 182. I recently started hauling jumpers and the checklist shows descent as such: -After jump run accelerate to 120mph -Man. pressure to bottom of green arc (15in/Hg) -Accelerate 10mph each min to max 150 -Monitor GEM for no more than 50degree/min cooling Here is my question, could one use full flaps and fly at the top of the white arc and descend just as fast or faster while keeping man pressure at 15in and not shock cooling? What technique do you use?
