FAA license in colombia

Asked by: 4201 views Commercial Pilot, FAA Regulations

Hey guys, I have a question. I will complete my multi engine commercial pilot license in 6 months, I am going to complete it here in florida. But I am moving to Colombia, to fly for the airlines there. Do  I need to get a certain license to fly in Colombia? or will the licenses that I get here, work over there?

Your FAA pilot certificate will allow you to fly a U.S. registered aircraft anywhere in the world.

Your questions about Colombia should be addressed to their aviation authority.

It is quite likely that they will not allow you to fly for a Colombian airline without possessing a Colombia pilot license.
